Safeguarding Children's Mental Health & Happiness
Supporting schools in identifying significant learning, communication and interaction, emotional, social development and mental health, and physical/sensory issues in the children and adolescents they teach.
Helping children and young people reach their potential
An Educational Psychology (EP) assessment can help schools apply for additional funding support for children/adolescents who are struggling at school with their learning, behaviours, emotions, peer relationships, and/or physical or sensory development.
Our online assessments can help education providers feel more confident in applying for SEN support from the Local Authority, due to our experience and expertise in child development and learning. We gather information through a range of methods to inform interventions and offer a holistic overview of all things affecting children’s development that prove barriers to their success.
Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between YPS and schools/academy trusts enable protected time with our team, and priority with appointments. Often viewed as an extension of your SEN department, we assist you in bringing out the best in your students and enable you to more effectively manage their learning needs.
We offer online assessments in:
- Academic needs: General Learning Difficulties, Dyslexia, and Dyscalculia
- Behavioural difficulties: ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, and Executive Functioning
- Mental Health issues: anxiety, depression, anger, and low self-esteem
- Communication and Interaction needs: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
At YPS Psychology we specialise in providing online learning assessments for schools and academies to help children and young people from age 6 to 25 to apply for all the support needed to effectively manage their emotional and learning difficulties.
Our psychological assessments and advice relate to the four Special Educational Needs (SEN) categories, as referred to in SEND Code of Practice 0 – 25 years (2015):
- Communication and Interaction
- Cognition and Learning
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health
- Sensory and/or Physical Needs
